The mailman finally delivered us our approval letter from USCIS (immigration) yesterday!!! That was the last piece we were waiting for in order to send our Dossier to the Holt office in Eugene, Or. Dossier is being UPS shipped today! The staff at Holt will make sure everything looks in order before forwarding it onto the U.S. Department of State and Ethiopian Embassy in Washington, D.C. for authentication. Once the Dossier is authenticated, it will be sent to the Holt staff in Addis Ababa (capitol of Ethiopia) to be translated and prepared for court.
So now the long wait begins... The next step is getting a referral to our baby! The estimated time for a referral is about one year (we are hoping for sooner). We can't wait to find out who little Judah is....a girl? a boy? a twin?
Patience is a virtue!!!
